He really has finger on the pulse of a certain type of man these days though. The kind of guy who hates wokeness and dreams of being a real manly man out west ranching and working the oil fields. Manly men stuff.

I think he's an interesting enough character, who's meant to show us what Tommy was like before he got all jaded and world worn. He sounds exactly like BJ from Gemstones though, kinda takes me out of it.

anyway, this ended up being exactly what i thought and i don't regret diving in. great lead, good supporting roles, plenty of ridiculous ones. good insight into how the business works, amplified with drama, and the preachy clunk you over the head anti woke stuff sheridan can't resist writing into it.

In a surprising twist, my wife binged this show during a couple international flights. Thought she’d be uninterested in the toxic masculinity/climate change denying world of Taylor Sheridan. I guess no woman can resist cowboys.

one ep left to finish S1. Its a fun ride and Billy Bob is great. But sometimes the writing is so bad its hilarious. Its something that happens in his series i guess, Lioness suffered a lot from that too and Tulsa King S1 was very very flawed.

I have yet to see S2 of TK too.

Ainsley's college interview was some of the funniest shit I've seen in a while.

That and the dinner scene were worth the price of admission alone.

Also when the writing gets preachy. So cringe.

yeah, it clearly shows Sheridian mmm political sensibilities in a very direct and almost cartoonish way.

His character's world views don't bother me at all cause I 100% think those charters would feel that way. You should always be true to your characters. Sheridan is just the flip side of Aaron Sorkin.
