Oh, it's definitely silly. Mutant/inbred hillbillies are the creepiest thing ever, though.

Probably what Lenny's family reunions look like.

I'm watching a found footage horror movie every day for October (all rewatches so far) and having a great fuckin' time; FF is my favourite type of comfort horror!

1. The Blair Witch Project (13/10)
2. The Poughkeepsie Tapes (9/10)
3. The Medium (8.5/10)
4. Incantation (9.5/10)
5. Willow Creek (9/10)
6. Noroi: The Curse (10/10)

to be continued...

gave the found footage a break tonight as I wasn't into the prompt

I watched "Together" and found it aggressively forgettable; there were so many interesting things it could have done with the premise and the metaphor, and didn't really do any of them

The Devil Rides Out. It's fun when Christopher Lee gets to play the good guy.

Jesus, the new I Know What You Did Last Summer is awful. Modern movies are so beyond broken, like just the basics aren't functioning properly anymore. Cinema is over. Take the dog behind the shed and shoot it.

I always thought those movies sucked anyway, if we’re talking Scream ripoffs I’ll take Urban Legend and any day.

Dangerous Animals.

Yeah, it was fun. Wish it was more gory and not that obvious at the end. But Jai Courtney is a treat, he is having so much fun its very cool to see.

Also i like Sean Byrne. Wish he did more stuff.

Revisited the original a few weeks ago and loved it. Unfortunate that all the sequels are garbage

Darkness Falls is up on YouTube, if anyone is in the mood for a shitty yet somehow compulsively watchable movie

I'll update on my Found Footage marathon tomorrow but I just had to come in to express my absolute bewilderment at "Other" on Shudder, by the same director who made "MadS", a film I thought was excellent

what went wrong? awful

Black Phone 2.

Ugh, this was pretty unwatchable. Its weird, they do have a good premise and a good baddie but they just keep focusing on the kids and they are not interesting.
The acting is awful, the dialogue is laughably bad and boy this looks like shit. Very obscure, lots of cheap digital fx, blurry backgrounds.

The Grabber actually deserves better movies.
