The album closer from the new Idlewild record is a stunner. I hope to hear it live.

Their best since a long time
Sometimes I wanna drive around and find you
And act like it's a random thing

Re: Albums of 2025
my 2025 friends, let me say that the new Antlers album (Blight), released yesterday, is absolutely gorgeous
give it a try
i would like to also recommend the Alan Sparhawk (Low) album of 2025, his first since Mimi's death

Bain went through the trouble of posting a YouTube link and you're asking him about genres? Press play fucko

Nope. I don't like doing that. That's why I asked for a description. I'm not clicking that video. I don't click videos, brahJorge wrote:Bain went through the trouble of posting a YouTube link and you're asking him about genres? Press play fucko

Re: Albums of 2025
I've been on record a lot here, I don't like posting video links. It's just not for me. It works for others and that's great. I'm not gonna campaign one way or the other. People like different things. I don't want to take options away from anyone. But I don't like watching videos w/o context. Just a me thing.oasisfan35 wrote:I do believe it is music musicepilogue wrote:and I will give a try depending on what kind of music it is.oasisfan35 wrote:I mean, 'bain even said "give it a try"![]()

I didn't realize it would become such "an event" on RM. *shrugs*

I always liked an earlier album by The Antlers, Burst Apart.

Re: Albums of 2025
I don’t watch the videos either if that helps. I am not against it per se, just that I still largely will invest in full albums than just a song.
Even with artists I really like, I will often ignore the single and just wait for the album.
