This is some letter-of-the-law-not-spirit-of-the-law shit. Let Tommy postE.H. Ruddock wrote:Not sure, but second accounts are not allowed even when you forget your password, tommy. A slasher! Couple of kids naked in a lake, certified maniac on the loose. Not a ghost!LoathedVermin72 wrote:It's like you guys don't even know what a slasher is!

I'm not a big horror person, in general. I appreciate the ideas more than the products, typically. Now, there are some horror films that I think are the best films I've seen. So it isn't really a binary with me.
Freddy is a fascinating character and I love the Nightmare on Elm Street series, in general. Jason doesn't do much for me. I'm kinda split on the Halloween franchise.
I wonder is slasher shit isn't my shit.

I know this is controversial since he's so recent, but honestly, Art the Clown is already my all-time favorite slasher villain. I think Damien Leone and David Howard Thornton really captured something magical with the character - the happy mime with a literal demon underneath. He has the best qualities of Freddy (having fun tormenting people) without any of the worst qualities (like dumb quips since he doesn't speak). Art's genuine joy and boundless enthusiasm for killing and sadism is really what makes me love him. Not enough horror killers seem to be having fun like he does. I can't get enough of it.

Man I watched the first Terrifier movie and found it boring as shit and really poorly made. Opted out of part two since I hear it's also excruciatingly long. How much of an improvement are we talking about here?

Enormous, night and day. 1 is mediocre and they hadn't figured out Art yet. 2 is some kind of a masterpiece and 3 isn't far behind. There really isn't anything else like them.Jorge wrote:Man I watched the first Terrifier movie and found it boring as shit and really poorly made. Jorge is not gonna like the Terrifier movies. But for the jump in quality between the first and second movies, think My Aim Is True to This Year’s Model.

I dunno, I think he might like the sequels. They're delightfully weird and legit contenders for the goriest movies ever made. Also, Lauren LaVera is great in them.

I don't generally like watching innocent people get tortured and mutilated. It's probably because I'm a better person than most people.

I knew this was Tommy making this thread because he just rated Friday pt 2 on letterboxed. Also because his fake name was one letter off from Tommy.
