I dunno, I think he might like the sequels. They're delightfully weird and legit contenders for the goriest movies ever made. Also, Lauren LaVera is great in them.

Lavera is such an awesome introduction in part 2. Im really exited about the upcoming part 4.

And yes, they are gory as hell. Jesus, there are some very gnarly scenes there.

I think the main thing the Terrifier movies have in common with the NOES series is that they’re both made accessible for non-sickos by the villain. The bedroom scene from Terrifier 2 is a rough watch as it is, but replace Art’s cavorting with some anonymous bad guy playing it straight and it would verge on being unwatchable. The NOES movies don’t have that kind of extreme violence but still, take something like a guy being played like a marionette using his own tendons and subtract Freddy’s commentary, and it becomes a whole different thing.
