In a way, dying in your 70s is one of the most old-man things you can do

On Thursday, Frehley’s family made the difficult decision remove him from life support, TMZ reports.

Weeks ago, Frehley suffered a brain bleed after falling at his studio.

He was then hospitalized and placed on a ventilator. Unfortunately, his health did not improve.

This is a great post.

I was listening to a podcast today talking about how 53% of men in the US die before age 75. In Australia, when that number hit 33% it was declared a men's health emergency and government action was taken. Ditto Great Britain.

As a kid, seeing smoke coming from Ace's guitar while he solo'd was about as cool as it got.

sad way to go out but looks like he lived a very full life

thoughts with Mike McC tonight, knew he was a big influence

his memory will live on in the first few notes of the Alive solo

Ace produced my second favorite guitar solo I’ve ever heard. It’s not technical, it’s not flashy but it fits the song perfectly and hits me EVERY time I hear it.

Nice. Shock Me isn't a fantastic song, but that solo is fire. Not just five notes and super melodic. 100,00 years is another good one. I listened to the 1978 solo album 2x today. Lots of POG and delay on it. It's good if you don't care about lyrics; I got my first listen when I was 5.

Surprised so many of the old rock stars are still around. They have no business living into their 70s and 80s. Or maybe the rock star lifestyle is actually healthy? As long as you don't OD or commit suicide, you will live a long life.

I know New York Groove was the big tune from the album (Hell, from all four of them) but I always liked Ozone and Snow Blind better.

It’s healthy because you go extremely hard in your teens and twenties when the body can withstand it, then go clean the rest of your life because you hit rock bottom and nearly accidentally offed yourself when you were like 27. Plus you’re loaded and have the time to work out and have a personal chef making all your healthy meals.

Meanwhile the rest of us partake in booze, drugs, and processed food “in moderation” into mid life and beyond, beckoning an early grave. Also, we don’t have easy access to organ transplants.
