I hear you. And I don't disagree, in general. But these things aren't black and white, as we all know.

As rights are eroded and power unrelinquished, there may come a point when leaving is the only option. I have a lot of friends -- all very involved in politics, organizing, etc -- who are not optimistic and who are making plans. The women in my life are worried about their ability to get a loan without a man or own a credit card or buy a home or, honestly, even fucking work. And those aren't overactions. Most of those things weren't possible for them until the 1970s or 80s as it is.

I'm just saying, there's a lot to consider and I think anyone talking about leaving should have some grace right now.

The Epstein ballroom on the East wing isn’t scheduled to be completed until 2029.

I feel like we should have a thread just listing all the obvious signs so when it happens, the doubters will finally shut the fuck up
