I knew there was a Machina re-issue a couple of months ago (just waiting for the price of the vinyl to go down before purchasing), so now all of the studio albums have been released, but it flew under my radar that Billy has finally put together a Machina/Machina II definitive edition. I'm not going to spend $400 on it, but I'm excited to listen: https://madamezuzus.com/products/preord ... xe-box-set

There's also a 30th anniversary of Mellon Collie coming next month with new live tracks attached: https://madamezuzus.com/products/the-sm ... dition-4cd

I do want Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and Adore in vinyl but those mega editions are getting ridiculous.

Whats new about this edition and the super deluxe thing he released ten years ago? Is it a reissue?

For Mellon Collie, it's new packaging and new bonus tracks (not included on the big reissue from like 10 years ago). Also, there were no bonus tracks on the vinyl last time around.

To be clear, the mid-2010s reissues of everything besides Machina were just the original albums repressed on vinyl (and Aeroplane pressed on wax for the first time) and they were released alongside super deluxe CD boxsets. The LPs were all fairly reasonable prices (MCIS and Aeroplane were more expensive being box sets), but you’d have to sell a kidney today for Aeroplane and maybe a few toes for Siamese Dream.

Finally listening to the big Machina box set--the Machina II songs have never sounded so good.

I already have a big Mellon Collie vinyl box, but I thought I might upgrade my CDs. Fuck, why is the CD reissue $50??
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
