Inspired by this thread, I dug out all my STP stuff. I have everything except the last album. I gotta go with Purple being my favorite. Man, I forgot just what a fantastic fucking song Still Remains is. I'd not listened to it in probably something like 10 years and it just floored me. goddam, what a great song on an amazing album.

( I had forgotten about the Hidden Track, too. Fuck, I love that one.)

“I Know It’s Too Late” (a Happy in Galoshes lost dog) is now on streaming services. It’s lovely. It will be 10 years since his passing this December. It’d be nice if RMers who loved him for any length of time kept a conversation going for the next month or so. I’ve had lots of time…Staley, Cornell, Cobain, Vedder, Weiland…he was always the outsider geographically, but if I’m being honest, he’s my absolute favorite singer/front man of all time.

very cool song yeah. Im a huge fan of Scott´s solo output. Both 12 Bar Blues and Happy in Galoshes are wonderful and Blaster was an interesting rock and roll album.

Im lucky i got to see him three times with STP and everyone of them was unique really and the dude was just amazing. He also came one time as a solo artist but i didnt went because of a huge storm. A friend of mine went and told me the show was a mess, he was like two hours late but eventually did a great show.
BONE FUCKIN´ TOMAHAWK.

He played locally at a small venue I go to see tribute bands.. wasn't a huge fan of the sets.. I didn't go.. my buddy sent a vid of the crowd n there was no one.. he died alike a week later n I was so pissed at myself

Saw him a couple times w stp and once w velvet revolver.. so awesome live..

I agree tho they always put him on a lower tier as the big 4 and I disagree.. stps music was different but I enjoy their albums as much as any non pj band of the area

I think 12 bb is a cool album.. I absolutely love galoshes, specifically missing Cleveland (cool live version just released.. if Cleveland was on the Scott setlist I was going to that show)

I never got into any other Scott solo but I prob should
