The Long Walk novel is great. It's an underrated masterpiece from King. I have high expectations for the film.

Saw The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere earlier today. It was spectacular. Only thing I didn’t like is
Spoiler: show
they changed Oz’s face when it was being projected towards the quartet.
Everything else was highly enjoyable.

Agreed. I gave it free points for being an Edgar Wright joint, but it was mostly just fine. I just don't think Glen Powell can carry a movie. I got nothing against the guy, I just don't think he's a movie star. But, I mean, who is? Arnold was. Arnold was a movie star

The Wizard of Oz Sphere abomination is disgraceful AI slop and should not be supported.

It’s an AI enhanced version of the movie to fit within the screen limits of the Sphere. So things on the edges of the frames have been enhanced and added with AI. Also, a few effects have been enhanced. Nothing too far except for what I mentioned earlier. There are also some physical elements added to bring the viewer into the events of the movie. Things like ultra high winds when the tornado blows thru.

I totally get where LV is coming from, but it was really fun. It was our first Sphere experience and I’m glad we did it.

Fascinating.

I'm what way was the face changed? Like a totally different look, or more of the sort of subtle enhancement you described in other parts?

Are all the actors the same? Is it "the movie" in that sense or are they all AI enhanced, too?

Die Hard With a Vengeance
The Gathering Storm
Rear Window

The first two were watched in segments and at times while trying to work. True Andes experience.
And they say that a hero could save us

His face was changed to look like something totally different from what it’s always been. Like someone else’s face. More “monstrous”.

All the actors are the same. Yes, it is “the movie” but there is some AI sheen to it. It’s like they ran the movie thru some sort of filter and everything is absolutely crystal clear now.

This does seem like a bit of an abomination. Shame on you for supporting this, wease.
