It was nice to see the shirt salesman make another appearance. What an odd fellow.Simple Torture wrote:The real special sauce for this show is the casting. Where the hell do they find these actors? The guy who uncovered the short-sleeve-to-long-sleeve resold shirt was amazing. He gets thrown in a scene with the shirt salesman who was a highlight of a previous episode. There are like 3-4 of these roles per episode.

Jorge wrote:I'm not especially fond of Tim Robinson's sketch comedy but something about how it's applied to long-form narrative makes this much more enjoyable, compelling, and -- yes -- funny, than I Think You Should Leave. It took me a couple episodes to really latch on to what the show was doing. It also helps that the show has a lot more going for it than just the comedy

Shout out to Rhode Island getting mentioned in the finale (sort of).
This show’s weirdness just getting layer upon layer deeper until the final moment of the season is just A+-level commitment to a bit that I can’t get enough of.

Re: TV: The Chair Company
I just want to re-highlight this. It's really true. Mike, obviously, holy shit. The shirt salesman was also stupendous. But, like, in a way that I don't know if I've ever seen before. I'm being hyperbolic, but he was just operating on a whole nother level. Just phenomenal.Simple Torture wrote:The real special sauce for this show is the casting. I recognize the daughter's fiance from Instagram, she's very funny on there and funny on the show, too.
Jim Downey, obviously
I might just rewatch the dang thing again right now

What a finale. What in the hell. Talk about unhinged! I shudder to think what season 2 might be like.
The biggest laugh, besides when it cut to credits, was when he was posing with the dog for instagram.
