would also love to get up and walk to motors coffee every day. Not in the marais, but still good.

doug, if you’re a coffee drinker, might I recommend Tiba? It’s in the marais. The proprietor is a sweet guy, and the coffee is great.
I will look for that place..my wife is the coffee person..you guys should come meet us for the Super Bowl at a pub at 1 in the morning...go broncos

I had something similar happen during my trip last fall, and I was stuck making changes last minute. I ended up rebooking through https://travelbusinessclass.com because I needed flexible business flights fast, and they actually found me a way better deal than I had before. Saved a ton and didn’t have to deal with customer service nightmares. Definitely made the whole mess less stressful.

T-36 hours til we take off to America. Crunch time for those seat upgrades. I did a dummy booking last night and there were 18 open seats in business…

Was that one of those upgrade bidding situations? I always bid slightly higher than the minimum and almost always get them

My kid is now excited about the trip and wants to get on the plane today. Clearly she was only pouting because we warned her we may not have the “lay down” seats this time. We’ve created a monster.

Tourists coming in to the US now apparently have to consent to a social media search before entering. Welcome back to North Korea, spike family!

My kid puked on both flights and in the rental car. At a hotel near O’Hare for the night, so hopefully she pulls up good in the morning for the drive north to Wisconsin.

My wife is flying into O’Hare from London tonight; the kid and I will pick her up on the way to Chicago. She was texting me that there was some snafu with scanning her boarding pass or passport at Heathrow, though she did eventually get on the plane. Then there was a slight delay due to “baggage discrepancies” as well, so fingers crossed her bags made it onto the correct plane. Anyway, I’m preparing for some sort of nonsense at the airport later, with a five year old in tow.
