I listened to a ton of new music, a lot of it i really liked, but overall it was more about getting into discographies of artists i love and listen to a bunch of old records from different years.

liebzz has been integral in remembering old albums, getting to know new ones and expanding into different music tones.
Glad we could take that journey together. I managed to listen to about 45 albums from 2025 this year, even with the nearly 800 archival albums I heard since this time last year. I’ll likely be doing the same next year, especially since I would say the majority of those albums are new for me, especially lately.

My list, granted it includes nothing from December, looks like:

1. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Phantom Island
2. Geese - Getting Killed (helped incredibly by repeat listens)
3. Goose - Everything Must Go
4. Goose - Chain Yer Dragon
5. My Morning Jacket - Is
6. Tunde Adibimpe - Thee Black Boltz
7. Daniel Donato - Horizons
8. Deep Sea Diver - Billboard Heart
9. Miles Kane - Sunlight in the Shadows
10. Brandi Carlisle - Returning to Myself

Honorable mentions:
11. Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band - New Threats From the Soul
12. Jason Isbell - Foxes in the Snow
13. Pigeons Playing Ping Pong - Feed the Fire
14. Dogs in a Pile - Distroid
15. De La Soul - Cabin in the Sky

Noteworthy: Springsteen’s Tracks II and Nebraska ‘82 were both awesome, and exceeded my expectations. I didn’t include them in this list since it is archival releases but they were both really great.

Just spent my Saturday morning listening to Modern Nature's 3rd album The Heat Warps. What a lovely, casual listen. Elements of slowcore, indie drift but with melody throughout. Just guitars/bass/drums here but beautifully put together. Thoroughly recommended.

Here's "Source" that gives a pretty decent taste, although is probably on the overall slower end of things.
