Aside from Ducournau's own stuff, it reminded me most of The Five Devils. And a gentler Cronenberg

My great-aunt might die, that could get me out of it. But I won't see it in 3D! That I won't do, not again. 3D is an evil gimmick

it was worth it, I liked it a lot; I'm not sure I'm joining every dot yet but the script very cleverly puts down little poetic associations that build a general picture of the fears of being at the beginning ("Alpha") of the rest of your life
