It's in my top 5 movies of the year, but we also basically never agree on movies so do with that what you will

Mark Kermode compares it to The Shrouds, which I liked, so I'll give it a go

Aside from Ducournau's own stuff, it reminded me most of The Five Devils. And a gentler Cronenberg

Because I hate myself and I deserve to suffer for my sins and yours, I'm probably going to watch this tonight. Unless things break my way and I get hit by a car or something. My great-aunt might die, that could get me out of it. But I won't see it in 3D! That I won't do, not again. 3D is an evil gimmick

Watch it in 3D. It's crafted for the format, and very artfully. This and the last one are the only movies where I've ever felt the 3D design added so much

it was worth it, I liked it a lot; I'm not sure I'm joining every dot yet but the script very cleverly puts down little poetic associations that build a general picture of the fears of being at the beginning ("Alpha") of the rest of your life

"The Great Flood"

hugely respected the swings it took, and paradoxically its humanity and strange groundedness

I'm not sure how much it all worked, but I had a great time... hmmm

I can't recommend the new Brazilian movie that's in cinemas now, The Secret Agent. It is one of a kind, great all around

It’s so good, he just can’t recommend it. He wants it all to himself.
