Not a big Zelda-fan, but I did put 8 hours into Breath of the Wild.
8 hours is barely past the opening cut scene
Just got easily bored with any Zelda game. I think I’ve played the sequel for two hours, and neither is installed on my switch at the moment.
Several of the games I’ve listed I’ve played for 20-30 hours, even if I really enjoyed them (like Super Mario Wonder, Super Smash Bros and Super Mario Maker 2), and I generally consider a game I’ve played ten hours or more worth it. My most played Mario game on the Switch is Mario Kart 8, at just under 40 hours. Civ VI on the Switch however is at 978 hours.
I finished my first Switch game, Links Awakening, my first Zelda, it was an interesting adventure, some of the dungeons were pretty tricky and I had to look online (I work and have a life too).
I wanted to play this game before Breath of the Wild because I know they're very different in every way. The game has several performance issues, problematic FPS, and a weird blur, but I enjoyed it.
coming from a PS5, I need to remember that the Switch 1 would be equivalent to a PS3
I just started Metroid Dread and I'm really enjoying it
Sometimes I wanna drive around and find you
And act like it's a random thing

Dread is awesome and runs really well on the OG Switch.

it does, very well
I think I started my journey on the Switch with the wrong game, at least in terms of performance and technical aspects, It scared me a little at first, but it was also a good game

Link's Awakening's performance was largely panned when it was released too. Breath of the Wild has some rough spots (in terms of frame rate) but it's more much forgiveable given the scope of the game.
