I just started the book a few days ago and am looking forward to watching the movie after I finish it.

The Zero Theorem

This one had eluded me, but I have seen all the Gilliam movies now. It was boring as hell, and Christoph Waltz continues to be massively overrated. The end.

Speaking of Gladiator, this is such a killer line I don't see referenced very often:

"I don't pretend to be a man of the people. But I do try to be a man for the people."

Last time I watched Gladiator I felt really bad for Commodus (up to a point) He was failed by his father.

Pretty sure Marcus admitted that, but knew it was too late to correct

Watching The Protector. Jackie Chan and Danny Aiello attempt to rescue a kidnapped woman from Hong Kong criminals. Weird to see so much nudity and swearing in a Jackie Chan movie. So far it's a lot of fun. Not much of a story, but great 80s action. I'm sure Aiello is going to double cross Jackie at some point.

This was really crazy. One wild action sequence after another. Some really great stunts.

I saw it won the Golden Globe for best musical or comedy. Pretty sure it’s not a musical but is it a comedy? The trailers I saw didn’t really indicate that.

It was as much a comedy as the average Coen brothers movie. I've only seen it once, but my recollection was that it was more of an Action/Drama with comedic elements.

There's heavy satire in the movie. But, no, it's not a comedy. But this is also why genre talk in general drives me crazy and why it's nonsense when it comes to awards ceremonies.
