I love the Descendents but I might love All even more. Not sure how much you know but they're essentially the same band with different singers; Descendents came first but then they lost their singer Milo and the rest of the band started All. Then Milo came back and so now both bands coexist. Mass Nerder and Everything Sucks are a great album duo.

I imagine you especially appreciate them as a bass player. Listen to what the bass is doing here, it won't stop moving

just discovered the sludge / doom / stoner metal band Thou, and I love them and their perfectly recorded drums! not to mention that they've covered "Spin the Black Circle" and have an EP called "Only You Deserve Conceit"

I cover of Into The Night popped up on spotify, and they changed the lyrics from 16 to 18. Still not a very acceptable song by today's standards!

Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Holding out for a Hero" are two of the greatest songs ever recorded. Absolute masterworks.

How do you feel about Air Supply's "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" and Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)"?

Was it ever confirmed what "that" was in the Meat Loaf song? Pegging?

I bet you'd recognize the Air Supply song. They're all Jim Steinman songs. He has a very specific writing style: huge melodrama, big key-change / lift moments, dramatic climbing chord changes that make everything feel apocalyptic and romantic. I think "Holdijng Out for a Hero" is probably his best song. Interesting career
