What does Brid mean?
Definitions (Senses and Subsenses) 1a. (a) A bird of any kind; briddes and bestes; (b) brid of prai, a bird of prey; ~ of gentris, a noble bird; ~ of plesaunce, a bird used in the sport of hunting; feld ~, wild fowl; (c) a bird as food.
Was bird originally spelled Brid?
During the Middle English period, Chaucer used the word inconsistently, spelling it variously b-r-i-d (yes, that's brid) and b-y-r-d. The meaning varied, too–the word originated from the Anglo Saxon word “bredan,” meaning “to breed,” which gave “bird” its original meaning–a young bird (what we now call a chick).

I had a situation with a bird and tried to get the AI to help me figure out the species. It told me it was a Cooper's hawk but this morning my biologist friend tells me it was a Merlin.

In The Brids, when the gull smacks the protag lady in the head... I felt that.

I have reached the age where I love birds. In the winter my deck is a sanctuary for blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers, and various tits (I hopefully assume). I’m desperate for an owl to make residence in the tree in my backyard.

Birds are amazing. This causes me a lot of internal conflict because I also love cats.

Cats kill a shitload of native birds where I'm from. They do it for fun! It's not their fault but damn.

My son had a budgie named Bird Little. It coexisted with our husky until it didn’t.
