Re: Avengers: Doomsday (12/2026)
New footage aired today at CinemaCon:
• The trailer starts with a look at Downey Jr.’s green-hooded, metal-faced Doctor Doom as he prepares to invade the multiverse. There’s a shot of Prof. Xavier looking out his X-Mansion’s window as a bright flash of light is outside, signaling trouble.
We hear the words “Something’s coming. Something we may not be able to deter” over the ruins of the X-Mansion.
We see Doctor Doom kneeling and his face looks scarred. Thor remarks that he’s fought many enemies and threats that scare him less than this, saying all his heroes and friends died. Everything they sacrificed will mean nothing if they don’t stand together.
We get footage of Thor approaching Doom with Stormbreaker. The Fantastic Four meet the MCU heroes. Shang-Chi fights Gambit. Mystique turns into Yelena Belova resulting in a Florence Pugh vs. Florence Pugh fight.
Thor leaps at Doom with Stormbreaker in hand, and Doom stops it at once.
Steve Rogers approaches Thor and says, “Hey pal.” Thor says, “It’s not possible". Steve reaches for Mjolnir and it leaves Thor’s hand, coming to his.
They ended up playing the trailer twice because of the audience reaction

Re: Avengers: Doomsday (12/2026)
I’ve seen one Marvel movie since the last Spider-Man movie: Guardians 3.
Today I watched Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool and Wolverine. They were all fine. I don’t think I have it in me to watch all the other movies I’ve missed. Hopefully I’ll understand this movie in December.

I forgot about the asterisk gimmick and I remember loving the meaning behind it. Plus Wyatt Russell just ran into Lake Erie this past Saturday because he lost a bet saying the Sabres wouldn’t make the playoffs. I'd watch the Loki series as that plays an important part in Doomsday.daft twat wrote:I’ve seen one Marvel movie since the last Spider-Man movie: Guardians 3.

Dr. Strange MoM would be helpful as incursions are bound to happen too.

The art direction is absolutely amazing.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: Avengers: Doomsday (12/2026)
Jonathan Majors was amazing too.
He could have overcome Quantumania.
Shame Disney couldn't work things out. He's been through a year-long domestic violence program. It's not like he was the hero of the franchise.

The suits at Disney were already cold on Kang before Majors got in trouble. That arrest was just the capper.B wrote:Jonathan Majors was amazing too.

Shame, I enjoyed his portrayal of Kang alot. So did many fans of the MCU.

I think I will watch Loki this summer. My kids reminded me that we watched the second Strange movie together and that I complained it was too much cgi and fell asleep.Stickman wrote:I'd watch the Loki series as that plays an important part in Doomsday.daft twat wrote:I’ve seen one Marvel movie since the last Spider-Man movie: Guardians 3.

I’m coming around to the idea of watching all 3 ant man movies in one weekend. I do like Paul Rudd. I could also see doing a captain marvel double feature. I know nothing of her. That would leave me with 4 movies from those phases I haven’t seen. I never saw iron man 2 or the first two Thor movies and don’t think it mattered.
