Spartacus: House of Ashur

Post by daft twat »

Anyone else watching this? It’s exactly the same as it was 15 years ago. In a word, gratuitous. I’ve watched two episodes. I laugh. I gasp. I close my eyes or look away. “Are you not entertained?” I absolutely am.

Hi Ashur.
Incorrect. This show is not sophisticated or deep, but it’s gratuitously fun week after week. Only 3 episodes to go. I’m sure there won’t be another series, but this one has been an unexpected gift.

I watched the first two series back in the 00s. They were a little bit shitty, yet entertaining.

Lenny needs to back off of the bros who want to watch sweaty hunks do battle.

What a finale! One of the best finales of any show I’ve seen in years. Hail, Caesar!

You’d want to watch the original series first. I almost gave up on it after 3 or 4 episodes. Once it finds its stride, though, it’s pretty spectacular.
