Just read the thread and I probably would not have given this a chsnce if I nee Garland had written it. Sas to learn he also wrote Bone Temple but fingers crossed. I feel like Danny Boyle's directing might have elevated the material but not sure.

he's written every film in the franchise but Weeks; if you enjoyed Years I've very little doubt you'll love the Temple of Bone

That's just it, and Temple of the Love Bone takes it even further!Dev wrote:I thought 28 Years Later was surprisingly good. Normally I don't do this genre but this doesn't treat the audience as dumb.
Kelson may be the most enlightened character I've ever seen on film. I want my guru-seeking parents to see these movies so I can discuss that with them, but how the heck will I get them to watch zombie movies?! It's a miracle that these artistic statements are being made.

Kudos to Nia DaCosta and Alex Garland for making absolutely absurd scenes fit organically into a good story. This is what cinema is for, and specifically what horror can be particularly good at.AndySlash wrote:bone temple was real fun. the iron maiden scene...

Have I mentioned that Civil War was the worst movie I have seen in the last few years? Annihilation was also world class terrible. Ex Machina was ok. Not trying to ve annoying. Just my two cents.

Finally watched Bone Temple. I really enjoyed 28YL, but this blows it out of the water.
Brutal as fuck, though. The Jimmies really were pieces of shit! I'm not a big torture guy and some of those scenes were... rough.
