The Master.

Joaquin Phoenix was great, what a truly amazing actor he is. The movie was ok, i think There will be blood was a masterpiece and this one fells short in comparison, but overall a good movie, really well shoot and with a good cast.

This Valentine’s Day weekend, we have a sweet treat for you. From today, February 14, through Monday, February 18, all of the Criterion titles streaming on Hulu Plus, available to viewers in the U.S., will be free of charge to nonsubscribers (with advertisements). It’s the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the incredible array of our movies available for instant viewing—we now have 800-plus selections, including hundreds of rare titles from around the world that have never been released on DVD or Blu-ray in the U.S. And remember that if you sign up for Hulu Plus for just $7.99 a month, you can see them all the time, commercial-free!
This happy occasion also marks Criterion’s two-year anniversary with Hulu. We think we make a wonderful pair, and we look forward to continuing to bring important cinema to the most movie lovers possible.
Blissful viewing,

I've been increasingly hearing about this Australian movie Wake in Fright (1971) the last few months. Has anyone seen it? I feel like I'm obligated to. Maybe someday.

I am going through the movies nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars this year.

I watched Lincoln yesterday and it was weird because I did enjoy and appreciate the movie but was also bored.

I watched Argo a while ago and really thought it was fantastic.

I watched Beasts of the Southern Wild last night and I hated it. It was so sad. The acting was very good and the little girl was amazing but the movie is just far too depressing.

Next up: Silver Linings Playbook, Django Unchained, and Zero Dark Thirty.

I cant see myself sitting through Life of Pi or Les Miserables.

ive seen silver linings ( meh), django ( worst tarantino movie ever) and zero dark thirty ( it was ok).

Havent seen argo, not interested in Lincoln and dont know what to do with beasts...i dont need more depression right now.

life or pi..dont care, and yeah i dont think i will ever see les miserables....what about that Michael Haneke movie??

Seen Die Hard 2: Die Harder yesterday. Great action flick...i didnt remember that Franco Nero was the bad guy! thats a extra point of coolness.

Argo was pretty good. I felt like the climax was a little weak but it was OK overall.

Seems like kind of a weak year for Oscars. Haven't seen zero dark thirty yet though.

The Imposter. A pretty good doc about a young french con artist who poses as a missing American kid. He got away with it for several months before his story unravelled even after moving in with the kid's family in Texas.
