I'm finding it harder to keep up with new album releases. What are people's strategies here?
Combination of following bands’ social media, a few publications or labels that usually have things that interest me, and trying to keep tabs on what folks are talking about on here. Sometimes it’s dumb luck.

I like to do deep dives on RateYourMusic charts and YouTube to find new stuff. But I'm usually looking for stuff that this board isn't very into (mostly metal and pop)

Lately Discord has been a great source of new music for me. I'm in a couple different servers with pretty eclectic tastes

Sade's "Kiss of Life" is such a special piece of music. Everything about that recording is pitch perfect, from the base composition to the performances to the arrangement choices and the mix. Very simple but very few songs make me feel like it does.

Witch Ripper is a 4 piece metal band from Seattle with 1.9k monthly listeners on Spotify.

They are extremely fucking good. Kinda melodic prog. I hear a lot of Mastodon in their sound. Grandiose yet tethered by filth. Do yourself a favor and listen to "Everlasting in Retrograde Pts 1 & 2".

Vibing out to a Spotify playlist, like hell yeah this beat is sick, this is:

Cornelius, who tortured a disabled classmate and made him eat actual shit. Showed no remorse. Lied about it later.

I have to unlearn how dope this music is because that is completely fucked. Fuck you, Cornelius.

Hadn't heard of him until your post. But I threw on his 2023 record and I fucking loved it.
Joey, I'm gonna need you to sit down for this one:

Bro is married to that dimepiece from Sixpense None the Richer.

I know, man. That motherfucker.

I saw Sixpense live once. Back in college. A guy in our theater program was a huge fan. They were his favorite band so we did a little double date to see them at the now defunct Beaumont Club in Westport.

It had to be the weirdest concert I've ever attended. No one moved. The entire show. Dead still. They'd clap between songs, but no hooting, no hollering, no requests shouted, no declarations of love, no head-bobbing, no dancing, nothing. Just dead quiet stillness.

So weird.

they were a Christian band, that might explain the weirdness

I was a big fan too though, they have a couple of really good albums
