Took the kid downtown to have lunch with Mom. Sat out along the river, was too hot to eat anything besides a nice piece of grilled fish.

I went to Mile End Deli on Sunday afternoon. My wife got the spicy chicken schnitzel sandwich deluxe (which comes with poutine, coleslaw and a pickle). Which we shared. And I got the smoked meat, egg and cheese with crispy onions on an onion roll.

It was the best lunch I've had in years.

eating the last remains of the recent winter storm grocery shopping stockpile. cobbled together a burrito with some scrambled eggs. got really aggressive with the toppings bc there weren't enough to split between 2 days. consuming said burrito became a terribly messy chore and i became annoyed.

I’m about to make lunch for my kids and I am pretty sure they’ve both had PB & J every single day of this school year.

I've been eating a ton of sushi. 99% of the time I reach for a salmon roll. It's simple, perfect, has never let me down. But I've started to branch out. Tried crab w/sweet Thai chili the other day. It was fucking amazing. I might be a crab guy now. S+

But today I tried the shrimp. It was such a blunder. Shit even had mayo in it, which I somehow didn't see when I grabbed the tray. It was the worst sushi I've ever had, but it's still sushi, yanno? B-

I don't get out to sushi/sashimi nearly as often as I used to but I definitely go for bigger rolls these days:

Playboy: In: spicy salmon, crunch. Top: hot pepper, tuna, tobiko, scallion, avocado. Sauce: wasabi mayo
Spicy Spicy: Spicy Tuna and Yellowtail covered with Tempura Flakes and Spicy Crab

Been a while for that second one (out of town) may have to fix that soon.
