from what i have read he basically has been having other pay for his, as well as others, trips and other things.

one kid had to pay out 30K for a dinner and he only makes 400K a year. i know i use the word only as if that isnt a lot of money, but you figure after taxes, agent/attorney fees etc, that is still about 200K but 30K or roughly 1/7th of his pay for the year went towards one meal. martin (the guy who started all this by leaving team) was asked (im sure very nicely) to chip in 15k for a few of the guys to go to vegas.

sounds like richie is the ring leader and generally an asshole.

Putting aside the bullying for a moment (which is bad enough on its own), the way these guys blow money is one of the most toxic things about the NFL lifestyle. During the rookie symposium they need to bring in a former player who lost it all and tell a cautionary tale.

Just to clarify, it was a rookies pay type thing. One kid didn't have to fork over the 30k, all of the rookies chipped in.

update(12:20 p.m. ET): Citing multiple sources, CBS’ Jason La Canfora reported Monday that Martin has made available to the Dolphins and the NFL several texts allegedly sent to him by Incognito that include racial slurs as well as threats to both Incognito and his family.

Among the texts are at least one instance in which Incognito refers to the biracial Martin as a “half-n****r”. La Canfora added: “There are several instances of threats as well, the sources said, and overall disturbing exchanges, including one in which Incognito refers to defecating in Martin’s mouth.”

He didn't steal it or hold a gun to his head, did he? Martin would have to prove he was in real danger. I doubt it would get very far.
