This is picking back up. I misplaced my scale, so I'm going medieval style and eyeballing as I get this culture going. I'll need that scale for baking though, I'd guess. That's next week's problem.washing machine wrote:My verve for fresh baked bread from a sourdough starter has waned since the pandemic.

eggs do nothing for me anymore. sure i'll use eggs for cooking, and sure, i'll still eat them if i need/have to. but i so rarely ever think, "you know what i could go for right now? a plate of eggs."

Team lv.
Even when there's nothing in the fridge, there are eggs. And he I can always count on a decent lunch if I have the means to an egg.

That's fair. Kettle chips are like 10x better and only twice as expensive. Worth.

I catch kettle cooked on sale often enough. Not something I always have on hand though. Thanks for your reply.Ello Sailor wrote:That's fair. Kettle chips are like 10x better and only twice as expensive. Worth.

I’ll take a thin Lays chip over kettle cooked. Just the right balance of potato, oil, and salt. Kettle cooked are too oily.
