Probably their most complete album (Vs could arguably tie for this accolade).
Brain of J - DTE is such a wonderful run of tracks, and inside of that 7 piece, is maybe the best trio in the catalog; Faithful/No Way/GTF. Again, the combo of Go/Animal/Daughter comes close.
MFC is the only average track (Push/Pull is an experiment to me so I'm excluding it). So, 11 really really really great tunes. What an amazing record.

This album still holds 28 years later.
If I was to introduce Pearl Jam to someone new....This would be the album I'd show them.
Not because it's their best...but I think it's the most representative of what the band is all about.
I'm sure some of you feel different.
No Way, DTE & All Those Yesterdays were my favorites back in the day & I can safely say they're still my top 3 songs on the album.

Given to Fly is really the only one I skip these days...just overplayed, seen and heard too many times.
Other than Tommy, Who's Next, Quadrophenia....The run of Vitalogy, No Code, & Yield is perhaps my favorite run of albums by any band ever.
Yield tour was amazing too. Perhaps my favorite tour.
Although the band was still pretty huge around at that time... Pearl Jam still felt like a bit of a hidden secret.
Like an underdog.
It was a great time to be a fan.
