My mother used to do downhill a slalom (not competitively) and to this day I still can’t believe it. Yes, she’s had both her knees replaced, if you’re wondering.

The drone shots during downhill are really great, you can really feel the speed and it gives you a better angle of what the skiers actually see. They had it yesterday during the luge too but this is more impactful.

I guess they want to keep the sound of skis on snow, but that drone frequency is all alone up there so some phase canceling seems like it would be easy peasy for a semi-competent audio engineer.

I guess they want to keep the sound of skis on snow, but that drone frequency is all alone up there so some phase canceling seems like it would be easy peasy for a semi-competent audio engineer.

They could easily take the drone shot with the same nat sounds of the skis. They cut cameras all the time without audio changes. My guess is they want the drone shots to stand out so they take it to air with the drone cam audio left in.
