Super Bowl XLI logo dropped.

if there’s a conspiracy, expect: Bucs or Bears v. Jags or Dolphins.

Maxx Crosby to the Ravens for 2 first round picks. Schefter posted a list of some of the NFL players who have been traded for 2 first round picks.

Maxx Crosby
Sauce Gardner
Micah Parsons
Russell Wilson
Matthew Stafford
Laremy Tunsil
Jamal Adams
Khalil Mack
Jalen Ramsey
Jay Cutler
Ricky Williams
Keyshawn Johnson
Jeff George
Eric Dickerson
Herschel Walker

Off that list, the only player you can say for sure was worth it for the team trading away the picks was Stafford. Gardner, Parsons and Crosby remain to be seen.
Every sentence in my head, someone else has said.

The game has changed so much since they started measuring taints at the combine a few years ago.

different lengths depending on who measures

can't trust the combine

need to have your own staff do it

sometimes you just don't know until they are there on the casting couch

Interesting but not surprising fact:

Tom Brady has one of the longest taints recorded since official measuring began. If this insight had been a metric prior to the 2000 draft, he likely would’ve gone #1 overall to the Cleveland Browns.

Which player do you hope your team picks with their first selection in the draft this year?

everyone seems to think there won't be trade-ups into the top ten but i think that means there will be trades up into the top ten :haha:

The Chiefs are trading up, for sure. They'll aim for 2 but they'll probably get 3.

Well, they want to, I think. But it takes 2 to tango.

as one would imagine the draft itself is causing some chaos for yours truly but it isnt all bad

traffic into work and out is minimal. what is usually a 50 minute commute home is now about 30 minutes. Parking rates jump big time tomorrow. Our building is $26 for the day normally but for Wed-Sat it is going up to $150

the place I normally park is on the opposite side of acrisure where the stage is and it has been closed all last week and will reopen in may (there i pay 100 a month to park)

Starting tomorrow through friday we are on weekend operations (meaning if you come into the office you are on your own) while everyone else works remotely. Streets at the start of the city (through the Ft. Pitt tunnels) will be closed to through traffic and many businesses are closing (the gym i go to, the local schools are going to remote learning)

they predicted 750K over the course of the 3 days but I think that is being quietly adjusted. Hotels are only at about 60% capacity and people who hoped to make a fortune off of their BnB's are finding out no one is willing to pay 1K a night to be close to the draft
Did the Mother Fucker pay extra to yell?

I mostly just want to feel like the new regime is building the "right way." A lot of the national mocks have Miami going WR at 11 which is honestly the main thing I want them to avoid doing. Build from the trenches and take the best available player, don't unnecessarily force a positional pick. That said, depending on how the board falls, they might have a chance at Downs or Delane and even though that's not "the trenches," either of those picks would make a lot of sense. Rueben Bain is probably the specific player I'm most hoping for, but I mainly want to avoid WR at 11 and talented but oft-injured guys.

*WR might not even be a bad pick, it would just feel the same as the old guard. But again depending on the board, WR might be best available. But I'd prefer WR at 30, or even more to trade back from 30 and use a 2nd and a 3rd on WRs.
