I'm a big believer in Hanlon’s Razor in almost all aspects of life but damn if it doesn't feel like they are trying to make something intentionally bad.

I'm rewatching season one with my kids (their first time seeing it). It has been a delight. My youngest (4.5) is obsessed with Boba Fett (and anyone who looks like him), so he has a lot of questions. A lot.

I get that this is for kids but its like Bluey age kids I guess. I don't recall the show being this cutesy. The comments from the trailer channel I watched were overwhelmingly positive. Of course they all say a variation of the same thing which makes me think its all bots. Curious to see how this does. It's smells like a disaster to me but you never know.

The cuteness has always been there (just finished a rewatch of season one). They just seem to really be focusing on it with these promotional materials.

It doesn’t particularly excite me, but I’ll see it because my wife and daughter want to see it. Expanding the fan as is, I guess, the point. Everything doesn’t have to always be for everyone. I mean, Joey likes TRoS, so there’s no accounting for taste.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

That was the first footage/trailer I've seen that got me excited.

Everyone is complaining about cuteness but I think the major thing I took away was this idea that of legacy and something outgrowing us. Here are familiar characters and settings diving into "this will live beyond me" was (without trying to be too hyperbolic) a bit profound. That's something Star Wars has always been -- starting with Obi Wan passing his wisdom, history, and morality down to Luke and then dying, like, immediately.

This might be a terrible movie, or just a long episode of a mediocre TV show, but this trailer let me know that they aren't shying away from pretty big themes, and themes that have always been part of this massive generational blockbuster.

The fact that you're weird for TRoS is my favorite thing about you.

Just finished the finale of season 2. My boys were so hyped for that reveal at the end. SW transcends all generations!
