Makes sense because she did one or two eps in Dave and then this movie since 2023.
Anyway, she is truly a force here.

Is This Thing On?
Brilliant. Cooper might be a favorite for me. Arnett and Dern are wonderful. Masterpiece.

Not only Cooper shots this story in a gorgeous, very close way but also these characters feel totally real. Its a very grown up movie, without a moment of cynicism.Buby wrote:VinylGuy wrote:Is This Thing On?

This is wild to me. Cooper seems like such a douche. Did he open any food trucks in this?VinylGuy wrote:Not only Cooper shots this story in a gorgeous, very close way but also these characters feel totally real. I still haven't seen 'Is This Thing On?' and TVG likes it. One of my best friends in NYC likes it. But I can't bring myself to get amped for it. The movie looks like a treacly disaster. I'm sure Laura Dern is amazing, because she always is.

I think Bugonia was Yorgos' best so far but that's not saying much. Not saying this was bad... But not life changing either. Honestly was just sorta speechless by the end. Maybe not sure what I think. I do think I could have wrote a rough draft of the screenplay in like 15 minutes.

Its not. Its one of the more human and grown up movies i saw in the last couple of years, and it also looks beautiful.epilogue wrote:I still haven't seen 'Is This Thing On?' and TVG likes it. Opening Night.
Gena Rowlands. Yeez what a lady she was. I liked the movie enough, specially the framing and camera work but it is a bit too long.

I’m very surprised to say I loved Amsterdam. I’ve never been a Russell fan but I thought this was beautiful.

The Secret Agent.
Very well done, the casting is great. I loved how it tackles those years and how it handles its main theme; the identity.
I did not quite liked the ending though

I watched Jurrasic World Rebirth
the only opinion i have on it is that I think they were close to losing the rights to Jurassic Park and had to put this one out ASAP to keep the rights
my god what a horrible movie
