In all seriousness, that’s insanely cool, Strat.

There is no indication from him that he is joining PJ which is actually really kind of a bummer. Unless he's really good at hiding that news while simultaneously rehearsing for/playing shows with War Babies again.Birds in Hell wrote:but are youStrat wrote:Another one we did with Stuverud! Re: Wayside - a Strat band
Really awesome being a middle aged white dude in a band that gets to play a couple shows over the weekend. Imma just share.
Friday night we played with an awesome band "High on Stress" from MPLS. Super authentic midwest/mpls rock n roll. They actually were Slim Dunlaps backing band for a hot tick years back (for you replacements fans). Awesome dudes. They opened.
Lips Speak Louder played second - Fucking incredible two piece girl band. meaty. QOTSA/Joan Jett/Dirty Rock n Roll. They were Emily Wolfe's backing band for a bit as well (look her up, she rips). They are out of Nashville but moving to MPLS this spring.
We had to close the night out but we played at a venue with like 130 Capacity so it was a hot sweaty packed club. ALl ages too so the kids showed up and had some fun energy.
Then we got to go on a little road trip the next night to play "Big Turn Festival" in downtown Red Wing. basically a large Minnesota Curated festival. Over 100 bands taking over all sorts of venues. Charlie Parr and Alan Sparhawk were the main headliners. Sparhawk is the other half of the band LOW. Also highly suggest checking them out.
Anywho. Ive had to work all week and im depressed. I should start a drug addiction phase of my local band energy life.
I cant figure out how to post a short but whatever. Thanks for listening.

New single today !
https://open.spotify.com/track/0awDcKzH ... mrgg0LQp3w
This one is actually pretty fun. With a story.
We wrote this song and played it live a lot like 20 years ago but never got around to recording it. We had a soundboard recording from a show at the Fineline downtown MPLS where we played it pretty decently. Been listening to that for years.
A few months ago when logicpro came out with their stem splitter I had an idea of popping the live version into it and extracting the instruments. It does a pretty good job of isolating the vocals, bass, and drums individually but not individual guitars.
I was able to get the drums by themselves coz and bass enough do o could re record guitars from my home studio along with the older performance. My singer went into a local studio and recorded vocals. I then was able to mix it all together (fairly well!?!) and master it for release. And that is what we have here.
Not unlike Better Man in Vitalogy !
Hope you enjoy!
