Re: Ask RM a Question
$25,000 per day for life. But…
Once every day, at a completely random time, you are instantly warped to a random location in the ocean for 30 seconds.
Rules:
- You always appear floating at the surface, already in the water.
- The location is completely random anywhere in the world’s oceans.
- Conditions may vary: calm seas, storms, open ocean, near land, etc.
After 30 seconds, you are warped back to where you were, dry and unharmed. (the teleportation accounts for moving vehicles, so if you were in an airplane you won't get teleported into the air but back in your seat)
However if you happen to die during those 30 seconds, you die permanently.
Do you take it?!

Ha, I've seen this scenario asked before.
Once again, nope.
I have yet to take any of your scenarios.

I will die in that ocean. No way. Something will hit me in the head or force water into my lungs. I will die in that ocean.
I'd look for that giraffe, though. That's just an all-paid-expenses adventure. I decide how risky I want to be

Re: Ask RM a Question
The duration is what intrigues me. Yes, I could tread water for 30 seconds. He only said oceans, so no being dropped in a piranha-infested river. However, could one survive a 30-second visit to shark-infested waters? Or typhoons or hurricanes? Not so sure. Or what if you’re dropped directly in the path of some huge ocean liner? Is 30 seconds enough time to get out of the way?
I’m gonna have to go with no on this one.

Re: Ask RM a Question
It's not that easy to die in 30 seconds. That wouldn't be the problem for me, but the psychological toll of not knowing when the warp is coming.
I'd still take it though

Not to mention that constant, life-destroying stress of never having any idea when it could happen. During sleep, during sex, during a concert. What if you're driving and your passenger dies because the car crashes when you disappear? Is this another life where you can never drive anymore? What if you're talking to someone you don't know and you disappear into thin air mid-convo?

Yeah you wouldn't be able to drive a car again. But again that's really not a problem for me.
What if you're talking to someone and you poof away mid conversation? You just explain when you get back. Who cares about that!
