That's interesting...
I'd say Train Dreams is more straightforward and beautiful in terms of lighting and cinematography. But I think Hamnet hit me harder, personally. I imagine I'll rewatch Hamnet a lot whereas I'm not sure I'll revisit Train Dreams any time soon.

I watched The Bride! It's a great cast and the performances are cool. It's got style and I think Maggie Gyllenhaal might be a really cool director (I really liked her debut feature a couple years ago). But I'm worried about her writing abilities. The movie is kind of just a mess. I was just rolling my eyes by the end. Too bad, really, could've been great

I wonder what Spike will say when I see the movie and comment here about it.

Please don't give spike (or Ello, frankly) ammo, Argo.

I admire Jessie Buckley as an actress I just don't think she's been in many good movies

Hamnet, Men, Fingernails, and Women Talking are all great films. She's also the best part of Fargo S4.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things is her most memorable role, for me. But, yeah, I'm hoping for more better things ahead

She is good but overrated. Her body of work looks frail yes. She seems to pay attention to films that are going to get her awards.
I like her enough but im not sure if ill see The Bride!, it does seem like a disaster. But my favorite movie from her was The Lost Daughter so maybe ill end up watching it.
BONE FUCKIN´ TOMAHAWK.

I still need to see The Lost Daughter, too. I missed it in theaters.

If it was in theaters it was extremely limited, just to qualify for awards. It was a Netflix release mainly

Yep. About 2 weeks here. I know it was limited and still couldn't make it work.
