Alive is amazing but has come to be about the amazing part of the show were we are all connected. Release wins out for being the best opener.

These are almost cathartic bookends of Ten. It all comes down to which I connect to more at the moment and that’s Release. But Alive is an all-timer and deserves better. Maybe 2027.

Release (live) is one of their very best songs, but the studio cut doesn’t quite reach those heights. Whereas the studio version of Alive still brings the thunder.
