Planning to watch Come See Me in the Good Light after work tonight. It will likely be the final Oscar nominee I get to see before the ceremony Sunday night.

Deep or not, nothing leading to that was engaging or interesting.

This movie knocked me flat. So much joy. So much empathy. This is the kind of film, I think, that can alter a life.epilogue wrote:Planning to watch Come See Me in the Good Light after work tonight. It will likely be the final Oscar nominee I get to see before the ceremony Sunday night.

I was so excited to see it but all the stuff coming out about the Safdies put a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure I'll see it someday but I ain't paying for it.Buby wrote:Watched Marty Supreme last night. Loved the movie.

I liked Sentimental Value well enough but it still disappointed me because I was expecting to love it

It's in my top 10 of the year and yet still I basically agree. I expected to like it more than I did, so it does somehow feel disappointing.Jorge wrote:I liked Sentimental Value well enough but it still disappointed me because I was expecting to love it
