Corduroy was my favorite Pearl Jam song for about 10 years. Daughter was always great, but never reached those heights.

Two songs that fall into the long standing classics I rarely seek out anymore, but when I hear them I am reminded why I love them.


Corduroy remains a live favorite, though.

another difficult matchup and another pair of songs with such heavy-weight status in the PJ catalogue

Daughter is an elegant timeless American classic. A showcase of Dave's genteel skills and Ed's tender creativity.

Corduroy is an Anthem of a generation and a personal staple. But it's defined to me by Ed's guitar and Ed's singing and Ed's passion. Although Dave's drumming is epic. I have to give the nod to Daughter in this one because when I think of Corduroy I just think of Ed (the best of Ed)

Corduroy is prob THE PJ song for me. It absolutely wrecks me that they ruin it live now with that needless call and response in the bridge.

Hopefully, this one is a dog fight. Both great for a myriad reasons. Daughter gets my vote, but it's difficult to argue against Corduroy.

Daughter is a great palate cleanser on Vs. after the vicious start of Go and Animal, and the inspiration for Wreckage’s placement on Dark Matter 31 years later…and Daughter becomes more than that of course. It is a great song in its own right.

Corduroy is the most Pearl Jam Pearl Jam song. It wins here as much as I love Daughter.
