finally appear to be over the hump on nigh time temp drop below freezing

reconnected the hose and outdoor shower

ran a new 4th irrigation line to the corner of the yard that gets most neglected. there is a line out there already but it waters too much stuff en route to the farthest corner to have any meaningful pressure left. laid an express route to the trees that need it most.

had to run the line under the deck. got down on my chest military style and was working my way along under

came out the other side, had to bury the line in the grass for a little

then ran it the rest of the way behind some trees along the fence

i hate 'smart appliances' and didnt realize this new irrigation head came with bluetooth. it actually worked fine on setup, no connection issues (very rare). and the app is super crisp. what a delightful surprise

ran a test and it's raining golden showers in that corner now

victory
Hell yeah dawgy.

I did some irrigation line work myself this weekend

Dogs had unearthed and chewed up some of the hose, so I had to replace that section

Pretty straight forward, though the tool to punch holes in the replacement hose was too large and too much water was irrigating, which will cause watering issues further down that line

Why I opted to pick up a second section in case something like this arose, so that went in hole-less

I am a mere novice, will keep in mind that 96up is a master sensei and may lean on his wisdom in the future

I suppose gardening is squarely in the Miyagi-Do camp, so that analogy probably works better in this instance

replacing a section of hose is advanced. having to reconnect is no small feat. you are skilled beyond your years. never hesitate to reach for the gorilla tape

i too bought the hole punching device for irrigation line

mine seem to be appropriate size though

but i could that being a potential issue

Thank you, Sensai.

Too many tradies say they’re tied up for weeks/months in some wealthy suburb just far enough away when you contact them for a repair, so I had to take matters into my own hands.

The YouTube clip I watched suggested using a lighter to soften the hose end, to make it easier to insert the joiners. That was a clutch tip that likely saved much loud cussing and beer swigging.

laid down 60 bags of mulch today

hands feel kinda crunked

but the mulch beds look tidy

the new cart came in handy

so many neighbors have dogs around me now

they didnt like me working the fences

when they all get going its like being in a kennel

maybe i should get one of those high pitch dog bark noise thingies

Just put on some headphones and a Fugazi set, then you and the dogs can each do your thing.

Got breakfast with my wife. Went to therapy for the first time in a while. Watched some movies, played a little Mass Effect 2. Had sex. Tacos for dinner. Feeling much better about life.

Went out for a dive this morning. Visibility was rubbish, but I got to test out my new wetsuit for diving, check my mask and fins which have been laying around for years, and pick myself up a new BCD. When I got back my girls were hassling me to take them to the skate park, so we did that

Took the family to the museum for an Ancient Rome exhibit that just dropped, and most of the rest. Was fun to observe my kid’s curiosity with it all. We grabbed gelato afterwards, I got a scoop of saffron pistachio.

Went yesterday to see my soccer team River Plate, playing at the best stadium of south america, El Monumental. Its a also the best stadium to see music shows and there are classic shows here like ACDC, Taylor Swift, Rolling Stones, Mc Cartney, Michael jackson, etc

The game was fucking great, we won 3 -0.

you can see the argentinian flag being formed by the crowd at the right, thats because of the Malvinas war. We had our veterans in the field and everyone clapped and sang ¨el que no salta es un ingles¨ while they were very happy.

It was amazing and very emotional.

Las malvinas son argentinas, you fuckers.
