I'm enjoying the full EPK film a lot. Man, I really wish Sirens sounded like that acoustic version at the start. It sounds like "Light Years".
I won't have the chance to watch this until tonight, most likely. What is in it?
It's the full EPK, with other snippets from the interviews, longer live performances of the songs (not all live recordings though) and all the vignettes included.
Where is it?
On Youtube, and a couple of pages back on this thread.

That song should be 2 minutes shorter. It feels like everything's been done after about 3 minutes and then they just go on and on. Wasn't there a quote by BO'B about the songs being longer but not necessarily "deeper" (forgot which word he used)? This is how Sirens feels to me.
Well, I love Sirens, as you know. But I do think it feels very long, especially placed after the three "punky" songs before it. It's too much of an epic statement after those songs, and I find I'm just not ready for it after rocking out to three 3-minute songs. I do find Sirens to be deep enough for me, I find it meaningful, but I feel there should be one or two other songs to match it for length. It's almost as if it draws too much attention to itself.
Maybe deep isn't the right word. When I see there's a long song on a new Pearl Jam record I will think it's probably long because it has a lot of different parts or is very varied. Present Tense is 5 minutes long due to its coda just as Immortality. They don't linger in the same space as long as Sirens does. That last chorus after the solo is unnecessary for me and I don't like the AHA OHO part which feels like stretching the song without doing something interesting. The song can of course still be deep and meaningful for someone.

Yeah, I hear those complaints, especially of the last chorus. I don't mind the AHA OHO part, but it does feel unnecessary. It sounded good when Ed went back to it on the live version, just on the acoustic. Even if we didn't get the last chorus, I would've wanted the instrumental middle-8 before it. I guess that could've played out a few times and then ended? Not sure.

I didn't read through the last couple of pages, but the vh1 thing last night was the EPK with longer performances of the songs, but it was also listed as a series so im guessing it will be the whole film over a few 30 minute episodes

I'm not finding this (SBM or the full EPK anywhere), and I'v looked on youtube and 6-10 pages back a few times. I realize I may just be retarded, but if someone has a link that would be really awesome.
