Two hazy, atmospheric tracks. But whereas Sleight of Hand is leaden and claustrophobic and brittle, Can't Keep is smokey and mysterious and full of subtle danger and possibility. Plus it doesn't feel sorry for itself. It's the more interesting track by far, and is an easy vote.

This is tough.

I have to go with Sleight of Hand? But I adore each of these songs.

Studio version of Can't Keep ties with Sleight Of Hand in some ways.
Not on live versions, even if it is a very good show opener.

Sleight Of Hand would sound like shit on Ukulele, point for SOH.

The mystery of escaping routine to freedom vs the mystery of escaping mortality. Tough choice and the songs have more in common than I'd thought. Going with sleight of hand.

These are both probably top 10 PJ songs for me. SOH but it’s close.

I've waxed on before about "Sleight of Hand" being my favorite Pearl Jam song; I've voted for it every match so far, and I've done so here. In years past, I don't think it's often made it more than a couple rounds through a March Madness tournament, so I'm happy it's made a pretty good showing in this format. If it has to bow out, then this match is the best place to do so, as "Can't Keep" is the strongest song it's come up against.
