Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Should be a new Beck track tomorrow (mixed by Nigel Godrich). Hopefully a new album is in the works.

What's a good starting point here? They've intrigued me before.
Their song Silver To Rust is my favourite, mate.
Harvest Feast...and most of ATW
Rats In Ruin...and most of Nothing as the Ideal
Cowboy Kirk...and the rest of Sleeping Through the War
Mountain, Charles William, When God Comes Back, and the rest of Lightning at the Door
Call Me Star, Blood and Sand/Milk and Endless Waters, Dirt Preachers... Dying Surfer Meets His Maker was a great follow up to the first record. Fun fact, Ben took lead vocals on the first record
Heavy/Like a Witch and the rest of this thing. It's the one that got me hooked. So glad this band exists and all three new singles are good, but Starting Line is in the lead

This Foo Fighters album has potential. It sounds the most pre-One By One Foo Fighters since at least Wasting Light.

I just found out today that there's a new Toadies album coming tomorrow. Ignorance has saved me from the waiting.

New Black Keys sways. Kimborough/Burnside overtones. It's just what I want today.

Marcus King Band released basically the b-sides off Darling Blue (from last year), which I thought was a disappointing album. The b-sides are 100 times better - Your Favorite Band, Good Run, Lilac Wine, Roses, and Red Door (!!!) are all fantastic. Worth checking out.

On to the Black Keys album (Peaches!), which 4 songs in, is shockingly good - bluesy, less cheap ZZ Top rip off sound of the last few albums, and dare I say almost grown up.

Can confirm for those that don’t have vitriolic hate for the Black Keys - best album since I think at least Brothers. They took the Delta Kreme sound and melded it with classic rock. Less boogie and more almost southern rock. It suits them I think really well, but I only have it one listen and sometimes when the immediacy of a Black Keys album fades it doesn’t settle in as well. My hunch from that first listen though is quite strong.

For context, the first three albums of theirs are favorites, plus Brothers. The albums right before and after Brothers are solid, and then the more recent albums escape me after repeated listens even though I have generally liked them at first, I think because they were going for this ironic boogie rock thing.

Album of the year potential right here. LOVED this. No embed, just give yourself an hour. Best overall description I have is dystopian Wizard of Oz concept album (it’s not about the Wizard of Oz, though there is a song that I swear compares an AI creation to the tin man).

I enjoy the Keys and the new album, though being all covers (which they often select well) I am not surprised I enjoyed it more than the last record. Still listen to Ohio Players pretty often.

Their second pass at Nobody but You actually, much prefer the Chulahoma rendition.
