Definitely a good use of gargantuan amounts of power and water though, certainly better than just writing a couple sentences yourself

And again this is really no different than saying something like "but you are outsourcing the part of your brain that plays the instruments". It can be used poorly or lazily of course just like any other instrument

Except people are still playing those instruments so it’s not like that at all

We could get into a whole debate about tools and authorship, performance, and where the human contribution begins or ends, but for me it's simple: a synth changes the texture of your expression. An LLM replacing your phrasing replaces the expression itself. On a message board, how you say the thing is the thing (I think that's what Argo was getting at). Otherwise we’re all just exchanging summaries of opinions, and again, that sucks

I see this and respect it, but it is a matter of opinion/preference. I believe ultimately all that really matters is the content of what one says.

It's disaster porn Friday! Is this genre just obsolete, or can it be great again?

Dante's Peak - Never saw this one. Probably one of the better examples of the genre, but still boring and formulaic as hell. Very funny and inappropriate use of the Wilhelm Scream though.

Geostorm - Just terrible.

The Entity and Gabriel just aren’t very interesting.

MacGruber is playing in the background. There’s not much competition for this and Zoolander as my favorite stupid comedies. Blazing Saddles is close.

A-Team

Pretty good. I liked the wacky vibe and actors (except maybe Rampage), but the editing and action directing are pretty bad. Patrick Wilson was a funny bad guy.

Mother Mary is exactly my jam.

I love a movie that feels like it was made for me.
