It's probably Bullet with Butterfly Wings, but Cherub Rock would be a compelling choice imo.

I agree with 1979 falling into the Friday I'm In Love rule.

If "1979" gets Friday'd, then so should "Disarm".

This game is hard.

But they're not representative of the artist's sound! I thought that was the whole point!

I find Today bridges the gap between 1979 and Bullet with Butterfly Wings greatly.

I really like how our new episode turned out! It's about Mexican-American superstar Selena. Check it out: https://www.signaturesongpod.com/what-i ... ture-song/

Our next episode will be about U2.

For U2 we're thinking:

Sunday Bloody Sunday
Pride (In the Name of Love)
With or Without You
Where the Streets Have No Name
One
Beautiul Day

Mysterious Ways would be my choice. This is the song/album where they veered from standard pop to a more experimental stage. I agree with burt Numb is a phenomenal song but I don't think it is as widely viewed as Oh that's U2 for sure

I was just kidding. I like Numb but it's definitely not very U2.

With or Without You is probably the one known by more of the general population.

Yeah, that or "One". But this one is particularly interesting because I feel like you need to include Edge's signature (lol) delay guitar tone, like we hear in "Where the Streets Have No Name".

That said, I don't know shit about U2 so I'ma head out. But I'm sure it'll be a killer ep.

WOWY is a great song but it really hit the masses with being used in that episode of Friends

Where The Streets Have No Name is popular enough and seems the most representative of their overall sound

What criterion are we using here? Signature song or song that best represents a band's overall collective sound (if it's the latter, don't we have a thread that did that?)?
