I've done a complete 180 on my stance on guns. I now shoot regularly and have applied for my LTC.

When I first started shooting, my mindset was very "this isn't for fun, this is serious. i'm learning how to use a tool not a toy".
But here's the thing, that ignores the fact that they are indeed fun and while they aren't a toy, they can be both fun and serious. And the fact that they are fun makes you want to shoot more, which is a good thing. Because shooting is a perishable skill, and any shooting you do is training. The more fun it is the more you'll do it, which can make you a more skilled and disciplined shooter if you ever had to use one.
