It's wild that the Knicks are going to be America's Team for the next couple weeks. SGA is just unwatchable.

Do you legitimately believe this is rigged? Or is it just a fun thing to say?

These teams were only separated by 2 wins in the regular season. I would have been surprised if it didn't go 6 or 7.

its fun to throw out conspiracy theories for sports and the NBA in general but i look at it this way

when Donaghy was under fire for the gambling scandal I have to believe he would have sung like a canary that the NBA instructs the ref to favor players etc.

i do believe refs do favor players but because of interactions on the court and not from the NBA office. Yes the office wants certain teams to make the playoffs/finals just because it is big for ratings

Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and Cleveland aren’t big markets, so probably not rigged to that extent.

But maybe SGA and Wemby’s overall marketability is more the driver.

It's the Knicks first Finals appearance in 27 years. This shit is not rigged in any way. Same with the lottery. Those crackpot conspiracists always seem to conveniently forget the years when Cleveland, Charlotte, New Orleans, Washington, etc. get the top pick.
