First Man. This was quite dour, wasn't it? Pretty joyless experience. I'm not expert enough in sound to say if the sound design was good or bad, but the sound guy certainly was pulling out all the stops.

Can I say something? I liked this movie when I was a kid, and gosh dang it, I still do. This movie is not bad. It's a fine little movie. Brando and Kilmer are both great! Some bad cg shots, but the practical effects are also good. I will say that David Thewlis is pretty terrible, though. And it has Fairuza Balk! Who doesn't like Fairuza Balk?

It's Amazon slop Thursday! Made the mistake of watching something new on streaming...

Crime 101. Trash. Glacial pacing which doesn't serve to ramp up tension or serve any other artistic purpose. It's just slow to pad out the runtime. Very dumb movie.

Cloud Atlas. It's not a great movie, but it is certainly ambitious, and mostly holds together. I really hate dumbass critics who panned it because the actors talked funny or because they didn't get it. These types of critics are worthless.

The make-up is really terrible in this, though.
