DC: The Batman 2 (10-1-2027)

Production on The Batman 2 is underway in the UK after several delays to the screenplay. Last week, Reeves posted images teasing snow-covered set pieces and the Batmobile driving through winter conditions, captioning one image “#SnowTires”.

And just this week, Matt Reeves has confirmed the new cast additions in a series of posts on X on Thursday, using GIFs to announce each actor individually.

Marvel stars Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan as well as Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch have joined the film’s cast.

The sequel will see Pattinson and Wright reprise their roles, alongside Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb, also known as the Penguin, Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Reál and Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez.

Its been difficult to actually care bout this one, which is very sad because i love Batman. But the previous one was boring and it came out like 4 years ago?
Its also the only Batman movie i havent rewatched

it's an immense challenge to go head to head with the Nolan films, which to me, make up the best movie trilogy ever.

Plus the fact that DC can never get it's shit together and keeps rebooting their characters over and over will always work against them.

Not sure if I can see Stan or Johansson as anything other than Bucky or Black Widow in a superhero context.
