I will say, that if I did decide to follow one of PJ members’ work outside of PJ it would be Stone now that Matt is gone. (Wellwater Conspiracy rules)

I had never listened to this side project. Brittany Davis is the one playing that keyboard solo that was mentioned earlier. It’s KILLER. She also made that beautiful Present Tense cover a while back.

Oh and she’s blind???

Looks like 3 albums for Painted Shield in the last 6 years so actually, Pearl Jam is the side project.

Well, he has a couple of his own bands or records. He and Stone wrote most of the songs on that first Painted Shield album.
Matt Chamberlain wrote all the music on this song for instance:

Yeah, his own solo work is as idiosyncratic as the solo stuff from Jack Irons: https://mattchamberlain1.bandcamp.com/

He can also really lock into a groove with Stone, and that what excites me the most cause Matt Cam never really grooved with Stone in the same way Jack or Dave did.

This has definitely addressed my reservations - great to know that he's a proactive part of the creative process rather than just an arse on a drum stool in the studio.

The band’s official Insta promoted Jack’s latest record. Clearly a sign they’re bringing back Irons.

If Irons came back I might consider actually trying to go to a show (but I probably still wouldn’t go)

Yeah, it's great! I like 'I Should Be Outside' too. Oh fun fact.. Matt Chamberlain is on that record too, Jeff asked him to drum on a couple of tracks. Like this one:

So it's not only Stone, Jeff sure thinks of him too.

Continuing a theme, Chamberlain plays drums on some of that record too.
