I love London, but yeah I would avoid it in the summer. Very muggy

Similarly, I will never return to NYC in July or August. The city's an armpit. Miserable

Right now at least I have my heart on the Canadian Rockies and Germany/Switzerland/etc...Earlier I filled out everything but the credit card information for a down payment on a Canada group trip, but backed off.

It's probably not a bad price, but I guess it's partially me being cheap and partially a moron

So you're going to Germany/Switzerland? That seems like an even bigger deal?

Nah I went with something simpler. We'll see how this goes before I book something like that or Canada next year. I also just didn't want to rush anything extensive.

Taking my family to Rio next week for a week. I’m very excited. It’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit. I know this isn’t carnival season. That would be my nightmare. I think I have some good things planned - Christ and Sugarloaf, a guided walk of the Rocinha favela, hiking Pedra de Gavea, and Tijuca National Park. I may hang glide. We’re staying on Arpoador between Ipanema and Copacabana. My kids want to take a Brazilian Jujitsu class. My wife wants to visit the Selaron stairs and eat loads of Acai. Anyone been there have any specific must-dos I am missing? Jorge, wanna just pop over for a drink during the Brazil group stage game?

I'd love to host you guys. I mean, you should get a nearby hotel, but we can hang out a little if I'm not busy
