He already puked once, but because of the bad flavor from a specific ingredient, not from digestive issues. He adds new ingredients all the time and mesh strains it every few days so the thing evolves.

Supposedly he's keeping this continuously above the safe temperature range. But I don't know how sustainable it is

He will be fine, unfortunately. People be doing this shit all the time. As per Google:

"The famous Wattana Panich in Bangkok, Thailand, has kept a giant pot of beef noodle soup simmering for over 50 years."

I had a couple slices of Hawaiian just the other day.

I never order it, but if it's there in front of me, I'll politely eat it.

Yup. Not on every pizza, but the sweetness and acidity cuts through the fat and saltiness of ham/bacon/whatever protein beautifully.

I'd say the real food WTF is people who make hating pineapple on pizza their entire personality. You're not a purist -- you're a dork!

That’s what the pizza sauce is for.

True for acidity, but sweetness? Maybe. I dunno.

The tomatoes have a natural sweetness, and it’s fairly common for sugar to be added to the sauce as well to further bring that out.

Not as sweet as pineapple, of course, but I think that’s why it’s such a controversial topping. Not everything has to be bang you over your head sugary sweet, which seems to be the way western food culture has gone the last several decades.

I’m mostly playing devil’s advocate here, I don’t mind a Hawaiian pizza from time to time. Heck, I’ve started putting a little squirt of honey in my afternoon coffee lately wheeeee.
